Whether you're planning engagement photos, a cozy lifestyle shoot, or a full wedding day, preparation can make all the difference. As your photographer, I want you to feel confident, relaxed, and truly yourself in front of the camera. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of your photo session:
1. Choose the Right Outfit(s)
Wear something that makes you feel good and reflects your style. Neutral tones, soft textures, and subtle patterns always photograph beautifully—especially in natural light. If you're doing a couple or family shoot, coordinate outfits without being too “matchy.” Think complementary, not identical.
Pro tip: Avoid logos, busy graphics, or neon colors—they tend to distract from the emotion of the image.
2. Think About Location
I’m happy to suggest spots based on the vibe you’re going for—romantic, playful, vintage, or laid-back. From golden fields to cozy indoor settings, location sets the tone. Let’s chat about places that feel meaningful or inspiring to you.
3. Trust the Process
You don’t need to know how to pose—I’ll guide you every step of the way. Most of my favorite images come from genuine connection, not stiff smiles. Come ready to move, laugh, cuddle, dance, or just be still in the moment. I’ll take care of the rest.
4. Plan Ahead
Give yourself plenty of time the day of your shoot. Running late can create stress, and that shows in photos. If you’re doing professional hair and makeup, build in extra buffer time just in case.
5. Bring the Essentials
Depending on the session, bring a few simple things:
A change of clothes (if we’re doing variety)
Water and touch-up items (like lip balm or powder)
A blanket or prop if you want a personal touch
And most importantly—bring your whole self. The best photos happen when you're present and open.
6. Relax and Enjoy It
This isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection, emotion, and the story only you can tell. I’m here to capture your light, your love, and your moments—just as you are.
